Using the door control pad located on the driver s side door press the lock and unlock buttons once again for five passes. Luckily the toyota tundra power door locks are pretty easy to self diagnose what s wrong. Each set represents one pass. Once your car is in programming mode with the remote you are trying to program press the unlock and lock buttons simultaneously for about 2 seconds then release and press just the lock button for 1 second.

Close the driver s door. Repeat steps a and b in step 6 for each new remote. Remove your key from the ignition then wait for doors to lock and then unlock twice. If not start again at step 1.

Press the lock button by itself and hold for 2 seconds. If you have done everything correctly within three seconds the door locks should lock then unlock automatically. Within 3 seconds the door locks should lock and then unlock once indicating successful programming. Press and hold lock and unlock button for 1 5 seconds.

Turn the ignition to on and then back to off and remove the key from the ignition. You must complete these operations within 40 seconds. If you key fob no longer unlocks the doors it is time for a new battery. Repeat button procedure to program remaining remote transmitters.

The locks should cycle once to verify that the car has accepted your remote. Press and release lock or unlock button. If the door locks cycle twice repeat steps a and b in step 6 as the remote was not accepted.
